S,X,A, MSR I struggled with this story for a long time. I thought I was going to be clever and try to make something with the ghastly, melodramatic, overused plot device of amnesia. Turns out that there is a reason that most amnesia stories are maudlin and devoid of much beyond the angst-factor. Mindprints went through, literally, four complete workovers and endless tinkering before I posted it...and at that point I was so dizzy from it that I wasn't even sure it was good enough to set out for mass consumption. I was inches from pitching it about 12 times, each time walking away and returning days later. It wouldn't leave me be. SUMMARY:Scully finds herself with no memory...and at the mercy of a doctor who may have lost his own mind. Mindprints (127K) |
